Dinner out with the family just got a little easier thanks to Boston Pizza From September 22 to November 2, 2014 families can purchase a Boston Pizza Kids Card for a minimum donation of $5 giving them 5 free Kids Meals (a $35 value). But more than that, the donation made towards each Kids Card helps support the Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects.
Established in 2014, the Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects was created to raise funds and awareness for organizations that provide kids in Canada with role models and mentoring programs. Some programs that have benefited from Boston Pizza’s support are Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kids Help Phone, Live Different, JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and the Rick Hansen Foundation. Through programs like the Kids Card, the Boston Pizza Foundation has raised and donated more than $18 million since its inception, helping to improve the health and well-being of many children and families in Canada.
While family schedules can feel rushed and over booked, enjoying a night out with the family is a good way to reconnect. Plus as the kids enjoy a pint-size pizza or a mini cheeseburger, you’ll feel pretty good knowing that you’re helping other kids who may not have the same support at home.
For an added bonus, register your Kids Card with your MyBP account (a free online service full of all sorts of extra perks) and you will receive an additional Kids’ Meal free. That’s 6 Free Kids Meals for your small donation of $5 to help other children.
The cards are only available from September 22 until November 2, 2014 but the cards can be used at any time before March 30, 2015. This makes them great gifts for other parents too: the neighbour who invited your kids over for a play date, the teacher who helped your daughter with her reading, the school bus driver who waited for you when you were running late. Say thank you all while helping other kids.
Last year, more than $615,000 was raised for charity through the sale of Boston Pizza Kids Cards. This year you can be part of that number when you purchase your own Kids Cards with a minimum $5 donation either online or in-store.
This post was sponsored by Boston Pizza but as always, the opinions expressed in this post are my own.
